1970 Chevy Corvette 350 LT1 Camaro Z28 Rebuilt Engine


⭕ 1970 Chevy 350 370HP LT1 engine. The casting number and date codes are as follows:
Block-3970010 dated A-20-0
Heads-3927186 dated A-20-0 and B-9-0
Intake manifold-3972110
Front pad stamp is V0217CTU
The work done to this engine is as follows:
1.Engine block has been oven cleaned, shot peened and magnafluxed.The block has no crack repair,no damage of any kind.It has been freshly honed and remains at standard 4.00 bore.New oil galley,freeze plugs, and dura bond cam bearings have been installed.
2.Crankshaft is original forged steel, stock 3.48 stroke.Forging number on the crankshaft is 1182 and it is a factory high performance crankshaft that has been drilled and tapped for a bolt to retain the balancer.Crankshaft has been oven cleaned,magnafluxed and shot peened,(stress relieved) The crank is standard on both the rod and main journals.This crankshaft has never been welded or ground(could pass for NOS) and yes is stll standard on the rods and mains!!.Connecting rods are orginal special high performance pink rods that have also been oven cleaned and shot peened.They have been resized on the big end with new bolts and nuts, and balanced.
3.The short block was assembled with orginal set of new GM/TRW forged pistons.These are part number L2304F-STD and they yeild the stock 11.00:1 compression ratio and is identical to the original GM LT1 engine.New moly Hastings rings, new Clevitte rod and main bearings, and a new high volume oil pump.
5.Camshaft is a reproduction of the factory LT1 solid lifter grind GM part number 3972178.It has been installed with new lifters, pushrods, rocker arms, balls and nuts.
6.Heads are orginal to this engine and are with the screw in studs and guideplates as they were from the factory.These are factory 2.02x1.60 castings with the machined relif in the combustion chamber. Valves are new Maley stainless steel replacement. They are 2.02x1.60 size.Hardened exhaust seats and bronze guides have been installed with a fresh 5 angle valve job.The heads are also assembled with a set of new GM LT1 springs with pc seals!!.
7.The intake manifold is original 1970 aluminum high rise.It is in excellent condition with no pitting or repairs.The timing cover is original 1970 dated 1-70. It is ready to install and run.
