We have owned this machine since new for 3 years, it has always been faultless in operation and has only processed approximately 70 tons of wood. Bought for a small contract, this machine is now surplus to needs and will be an excellent investment.


After extensive research into the various available processors for our needs we settled on the Palax Ks35S with the 3 phase electric motor option and log deck. Although the electric power option added to the initial purchase price of the machine it was a good decision. Much cheaper than running a tractor on a PTO, take into account the purchase of a tractor and continued servicing of a tractor plus breakdowns etc.. more insurance! Etc instead think much quieter operation the ability to run indoors nill fire risk and push button operation, we did and we were glad.

As the last couple of years have turned out the processor has only received very light duty and could be described as a demo machine in its appearance.

The Palax range of firewood processors built in Finland are undoubtedly some of the very best available. This machine as said before is in fantastic condition as can be seen from the photos, perhaps a little paint is now degrading, but as a whole still very good. The machine uses 3-phase electric that powers the 2kw motor, this drives a hydraulic system and all the controls run from this. It is possible to remove the electric motor and revert it back to a PTO drive if necessary with the correct shaft etc. The KS35s will handle trees upto 35cm and is very easy to opperate with full hydraulic feed/saw and splitter controls. All in all a very easy one man machine capable of processing 2m3 per hour and more
