This is a Studer A812 professional half track reel to reel tape deck.
It is in near mint condition, with minimal signs of wear on the heads and tape guides and without any blemishes at all.
It is not unused, but has seen minimal use.

Having played with a few reel to reel tape decks, I can say this one is in a class of its own. It works like a Swiss watch, precise and very very quiet.

This is one reel to reel deck that can claim to rival the Nagra T-Audio in tape handling precision and audio quality.

The computer control features of the Studer A812 make it an absolute pleasure to align and calibrate - no screwdrivers, no complex equipment needed, the deck DOES IT ALL - IT IS FULLY AUTOMATED

The parametric controls of the Studer A812 include every configuration parameter, including tape tension, to REW/FF speed and torque controls, as well as many audio related parameters a list of parametric controls simply too long to enumerate here.


All the functions of the Studer A812 in this listing have been fully tested.

The 12 metal reels and the original Studer Studio nab adapters shown in the pictures are included with the unit.
Also included is the complete service and operations manuals.
This unit is ideal for playing Tape Project tapes because it has selectable CCIR and NAB equalization.
