These mics have original brass-rim CK12 capsules, which are in very good condition. Highly prized, their value continues to rise with time. This is particularly true as for years AKG had a policy of replacing the original capsules with modern nylon-surround caps, which sound significantly different. The old capsules are the same design as those in AKGs C12 and C24 tube mics, as well as the uber-expensive vintage Telefunken ELAM 250 and 251. No modern copy sounds as sweet. In fact, many of these mics were purchased over the years to provide replacement capsules for both those original tube mics, as well as their modern copies.

This pair has lived in a smoke-free semi-private professional studio for many years. Theyve been conscientiously cared for. They come with AKG stand mounts and boxes.
