⭕ This guitar with a Jan 1966 neck date 11/23/65 pickup dates, and a 1094XX neck plate number and is one of the first with the new large peghead. Transitional for sure! Also, the case has no logo. This is a one-owner guitar that was bought in 1966 and damaged in some sort of mishap shortly thereafter. The owner was very finicky about the cosmetic damage, so he sent it back to Fender and had them refinish the body. He said this happened in the first year he owned it. As near as I can determine, everything else is totally original and straight. The finish has almost no wear. It appears after he got it back from Fender, he was very careful with it. There are a couple of minor dings, and finish checking, but the Olympic White still looks fantastic. There is plenty of wood in the neck and it has a great feel. The sound of this guitar is naturally compressed, and is thicker than my 63 Strat.
