⭕ 1967 early 1968 Marshall JTM50 transitional JMP Tremolo Bluesbreaker with only 2 owners.Short to say,this bluesbreaker is in amazing condition for its age and works impeccably.This is one of the most desirable and rare Marshall amps ever made.It was only produced between 1967 - mid 1968 and was the conversion period between the JTM45 to JMP50.What makes this amp so rare and valuable is the original brown bluesbreaker grill cloth. Aspen Pittman documented only 3 brown grill cloth combo amps in his new book and this is one of them.In fact this actual amp is featured in many pages of the new 2010 book The Marshall Bluesbreaker by John R.His signature is on the bottom of the chasis.What is amazing about these JTM50s/JMP50s is you get a JTM45 circuit with the option of running EL34s. So basically you are getting a JTM45 and a JMP50 in one amp.The amp sounds totally different with each tube configuration. The KT66s have the huge JTM45 bottom and bloom with the sweet top end while the EL34s have the tight crunchy bottom end with the growling mids and sizzling top end.Think Clapton in Cream vs Page in Zeppelin. You absolutly get both tones out of this amp.Speakers are original 1967 8 ohm Pre-Rola Celestion G12H. Both are original to the amp.The combination of these speakers with this grill cloth is heaven.You can stand directly facing the amp cloth and the sound is dispersed and not beaming.You will only get this tone with this vintage speaker and grill cloth combination.Cabinet is rock solid without vibration. Screws are taught and secure in every hole. I believe the bottom casters are original to the amp but not positive.They were there when I purchased it. Tolex has some nicks here and there but overall amazingly clean for a 43 year old amp.Changed the power wire plug to an updated 3 prong for safety.
